Tinker Shiray was born in Haifa in 1977. For her, painting and acting are a way of life. Tinker graduated WIZO Haifa High School for the Arts; her acting career has been diverse and extensive. She won the Ophir Award for Best Actress in 2000. She studied visual art at Beit Berl as well as autodidactic study. Tinker has presented at group exhibitions, written and illustrated magazine covers and articles. In 2012, together with her partner, Tinker founded the international film festival in the Arava. She creates like a spring in the desert, gushing and drawing on everything in her path. She enables delicate quality to burst forward into fine lines woven into an enchanted narrative tapestry, simultaneously showcasing and concealing an encrypted language. Her studio exhibits two worlds: one linear, in black and white, and another colourful and vibrant. “For me, the creation process is a parallel space—a world where I cross over the dimension of reality, into the realm where the subconscious is reflected".
