Lola Kedem

America, the Far East, Europe, and especially the island of Ibiza, her travels became a way of life. The first encounter with precious stones was in Jaipur, India. “I forged a connection with the stones, and this material and visual abundance gave birth to an entire language of creativity with jewelry.” Lola emphasizes that each stone has its own energy and meaning; every bead radiates colour, texture, shine, transparency, and contains its own cultural interpretation. After studying Feng Shui, Lola includes the principles of balance and harmony in her jewelry designs. Lola lives in Zuqim, and at her gallery, Lola Kedem: Beauty. Balance. Harmony. She combines her bead art with occupational therapy and treatment for residents of The Orange House, a centre for balance and feminist empowerment, that she runs with her partner. Lola Kedem Gallery offers stone weaving workshops for personal gemstone jewelry.
