DESERT SPRING Tinker Shiray

_YSP1529.jpg

Tinker was born in 1977 in Haifa. As winner of the Ophir Award for Best Actress in 2000, painting and acting are for her a way of life. Tinker studied at Beit Berl in the track for art and self-taught learning. She has presented in group exhibitions, wrote, and illustrated stories, covers and articles. In 2012, she and her partner initiated the Arava International Film Festival, which has been held every year since.

Her studio was the first to be established at the Artist’s Colony. The studio reflects two worlds: one in black and white lines, and the other a vibrant display of color.

"In my perspective, creative processes are a parallel space, a place where I cross the dimension of reality and venture inwards into the reflection of the subconscious."

In her lecture, she shares her story as a native resident of Haifa, transitions she made to  Tel Aviv and the world of cinema and finally her relocating to the desert. On her ability to build confidence via her works and her personal desire to find her inner self.
